Live at Reprisals, Reed's, and what's coming next

Hey, all of you guys.A few updates from The Foxtrots for you.First, there is a new live album up on our Bandcamp: Live at Reprisals! Now, this is a pretty full album coming from a private outdoor show we played on June 5th for that band. You may have seen snippets of it on our YouTube channel. We weren't even originally planning on playing, the whole thing was really spontaneous. I was just talking with Jax's dad - the guitarist from Reprisal - which led us to play the gig after I convinced him to slap Matt's back to get up on stage. Reprisal played their set, lovely stuff. Everyone was excited. We got on after. Slowly but surely, people started looking our way up there. By the end of it, people were dancing, yelling, and being noisy enough that you could actually hear it on the recordings. I totally dig that. There are four songs on the album. We actually played five, including the fan favorite, "Gimme Some Money" (based on research from the populous consensus from our Reed's gig. Unfortunately, this one didn't end up on tape. You'll hear that one on the next live release instead. The setup at Reprisals was very DIY, especially early on in the set. So the first couple tracks are a little more instrumental while we figured out the mic setup. Guitars were loud, distorted, and rock and roll. The outside nature of the whole thing gives it a pretty ambient and unusual character. You can stream the whole thing for free on Bandcamp. It's also a name-your-price download, and you can download it for free with an email signup. I've also been working quite a bit on the band Bandcamp and website lately. The site has had a redesign, small updates here and there, and everything should look a lot easier to navigate now. If you haven't looked in a bit, check it out. And there's another live record coming. "Live at Reed's Local" is currently being put together from our July show.(Look, I thought of other names, but this one still sticks. I don't claim to be a guru, nor will I accept the idea of being an amnesiac for the sake of having two back-to-back 'Live at R's-r-us', okay? I will fight this). That night was really special. It was probably somewhere around 40 to 60 people at its max, which of whom came through on the smoky Thursday that night. To my biggest surprise. The room felt intimate and welcoming, and we could played the whole set. I am mixing the recording myself, so the Bandcamp version should be better than the raw camera footage. There's also a full video from the show, but I'm going to put out a few YouTube snippets first, then eventually upload the full performance. The Reed's album should arrive on Bandcamp within a couple of weeks, if you're interested in hearing that.I'm also considering putting some of these releases on Spotify. I already have a few particular Foxtrots releases in mind, but I'm curious what you think. If there's something you'd like to be on our Spotify from Bandcamp, just email use. You could also try guessing which releases I'm already planning on putting there, for fun. And if you listen to Live at Reprisals, I'd generally like to know what you'd think about it. Share it with somebody if you think they'd like it too. Thanks for listening.Iman
